1. Information We Collect
We collect your name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), chat messages you send to LM Legal AI, and any documents you choose to upload.
2. Document Retention (DPDP Act, 2023)
Any document you upload (PDF, DOCX, or image) is stored for a maximum of 15 daysfrom the date of upload. After this period, it is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers as part of a daily, audited deletion process. We do not retain copies beyond this window.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your chat history is used solely to provide you with continuity across a conversation and to improve the relevance of legal citations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data. Contact us at privacy@lawmantras.com to exercise these rights.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sensitive configuration (such as AI provider API keys) is encrypted at rest. File transport to our storage provider uses encrypted (FTPS) connections where available.
